Random Acts of Kindness (RAK)

I was challenged by someones blog to buy somebody you don't know dinner while out to dinner. I loved the idea when I read it, but didn't know how it would turn out. There is no how to book on being kind!!! So we were out to dinner in Washington DC in Union Station at Uno's. When I went to the bathroom, I noticed a family sharing a meal. I came back and the idea came to me, so as we were leaving I stopped at there table and I did it. They probably thought I was crazy. Who does those things? I never have. I learned that kindness is not something you learn in a book, on TV or in a classroom. It is learned by doing it. All I really did is obey Jesus' command to love our neighbors. It is really that simple and I don't know how much of an impact it made on their lives. It could have been a lot or a little, but one thing I do know is that in the end times, when the Lord Jesus comes back and all people stand before Him to be judged and He says the words, He does in Matthew's Gospel, "When I was hungry did you feed me. . ." I can say YES, because Jesus who is the king will say, "I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me" (Matthew 25:40).

Loving our neighbors is loving Jesus.
